"BJP's aim of '400 paar' will be accomplished", asserts Chittorgarh BJP candidate CP Joshi

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], June 4 (ANI): As the counting of votes for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections is underway on Tuesday, BJP President and Lok Sabha candidate from Chittorgarh, CP Joshi, expressed strong confidence in the BJP securing a decisive victory both in Rajasthan and nationally.
"We have full faith that the BJP is getting a clear and full majority. BJP's aim of "400 paar" will definitely be accomplished. In Rajasthan too, BJP is going to get majority. The public of Rajasthan is trusting "Modi ki Guarantee", Joshi said while speaking to ANI.
Commenting on opposition leaders dismissing the exit poll predictions, Joshi said, "The Congress will soon start blaming the EVM. When they win, there's no issue with the EVM. The Congress party is now on its way to becoming a regional party instead of a national one."
As per the latest trends, the Bhartiya Janata party is leading on 14 seats in Rajasthan, while the Congress is leading on 8 seats, followed by Communist Party of India (Marxist) - CPI(M), Rashtriya Loktantrik Party - RLTP and Bharat Adivasi Party - BHRTADVSIP on one seat each.
BJP candidate from Chittorgarh, CP Joshi is leading with 110934 votes in Chittorgarh, while Congress party's Anjana Udailal is trailing.
Notably, In the 2019 elections, Joshi won the seat by defeating Gopal Singh Shekhawat of the Congress by a margin of 5,76,247 votes. The BJP leader secured 9,82,942 votes.
In the 2014 general elections, Joshi clinched the seat with 7,03,236 votes, surpassing Congress candidate Girija Vyas by 3,16,857 votes.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP registered a sweeping victory, winning 24 out of 25 seats in Rajasthan, while the remaining one seat was won by Rashtriya Loktrantrik Party candidate Hanuman Beniwal.
Around 642 million people voted in Lok Sabha elections held over seven phases in a mammoth six-week period. The counting of votes began starting with postal ballot papers amid tight security.
The counting for State Legislative Assemblies of 175 Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh and 147 Assembly constituencies in Odisha and results of bypolls in 25 Assembly constituencies also began. (ANI)
