Agartala (Tripura) [India], October 29 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday said the enthusiastic response from people during the membership drive will further strengthen the foundation of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
CM Saha said this while participating in the membership drive in Ward No. 20 and Ward No. 40 under the Bardowali Mandal.
"The membership drive of BJP is currently in its second phase in the state. The period for enrollment has also been extended up to November 15. We are visiting various places, and people are showing a strong interest in taking BJP's membership. Leaders and karyakartas are reaching out everywhere, and I am also visiting my assembly constituency to enroll people in different wards. Today, I have visited various wards," said Dr. Saha.
He further emphasized that people are now willingly joining BJP.
"The enthusiastic response during the membership drive will further strengthen the foundation of the Bharatiya Janata Party. People now understand that BJP has no alternative. For development and progress, they are turning to BJP, and it is only due to the party's development goals and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's sincere efforts that people are showing such interest. BJP is dedicated to the welfare of the people. We work to address their problems," he added.
In the membership drive, the Chief Minister was accompanied by Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, Councillor Ratna Dutta and mandal president Sanjay Saha among others.
Earlier on October 28, Manik Saha led a membership drive aimed at enrolling young individuals aged 18 to 35 in various wards of his legislative assembly constituency. Highlighting the significance of youth in shaping India's future, Saha underscored the Prime Minister's vision of integrating young voices into the political landscape.
After the successful drive in Ward 20, CM Saha, accompanied by the local corporator, moved on to Ward 40, where he encountered a similarly enthusiastic response from prospective members. The atmosphere was charged with positivity as young participants expressed eagerness to contribute to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and engage actively in the political process.
On September 2, the BJP launched the Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi enrolled as a primary member of the BJP by giving a missed call and completing the details in the digital form. (ANI)
