Agartala (Tripura) [India], July 5 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday expressed confidence in the BJP's success and said that the party will expand its presence in West Bengal and Kerala as the people's confidence has grown in the party.
Saha said, "The BJP is poised to expand its governance to West Bengal and Kerala, as public confidence in the party continues to grow due to its commitment to development."
Tripura Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing a Matdata event at 8 Town Baradowali Mandal.
Saha also took to his official X handle and said, "In a democracy, the blessing of the public gods is the greatest achievement. Thanks to all the residents of the congratulatory meeting organised today by Town No. 8 Baradowali Mandal for the victory of BJP candidates with huge votes in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections."
"If we focus on development, there is no need for concern. In our efforts for people's development, why should anyone obstruct voters? While we have eradicated this practice, it still persists in West Bengal," Saha said.
Saha also criticised the Trinamool Congress for using police to obstruct BJP rallies in West Bengal. He pointed out that a similar practise exists in Kerala as well.
Highlighting the BJP's developmental initiatives as the key to its success, Saha said, "Due to the BJP government's development initiatives, our party has achieved success in Odisha, and we expect to replicate this success soon in West Bengal and Kerala. If we continue our good work, no one can hinder us. Despite attempts by various parties to unite against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they have consistently failed."
The Chief Minister's comments come at a time when the BJP is looking to expand its footprint in states traditionally dominated by regional parties. The emphasis on development and public trust appears to be the cornerstone of the party's strategy moving forward.
Meanwhile, Saha also expressed deep concern over the recent demolition of a family's house in Dalak Panchayat, located in Amarpur under the Gomati district. The incident came to his attention through local media reports.

Taking to his X handle, Saha said, "I have come to know about the demolition of the house of a family resident of Dalak Panchayat of Amarpur. Interviewed the affected family today, apprised the overall issue and directed the administration to provide them with the necessary assistance. Besides, the police administration will investigate and take legal action as per my suggestion"
Saha took immediate action by interviewing the affected family to understand the issue in detail and directed the administration to provide the necessary assistance to the displaced family.
Additionally, the Tripura CM also instructed the police administration to investigate the incident thoroughly and take appropriate legal action.
In a statement, Saha emphasized the importance of swift and effective measures to support the family and ensure justice is served. (ANI)
