Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], April 25 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma exuded confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party is going to win the majority of the Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan and everyone has faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rajasthan has 25 Lok Sabha seats. Polling for the first 12 seats was held in the first phase on April 19.
"First of all, I appeal to all to vote as much as possible for the 13 Lok Sabha seats to be held on April 26, tomorrow. The BJP is going to win the majority of the seats (12) for which polling was held on April 19 and also win the majority of the seats during the second phase of the polling," CM Sharma told reporters here.
"In 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the people of Rajasthan gave 25 and 24 seats to the BJP respectively. And this time the people have made up their mind because everyone has faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he added.
Voting for the 12 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan was held in the first phase on April 19. The remaining 13 seats will go to polls in the second phase on April 26.
He also hailed the leadership of PM Modi.
"There is a vision of making Rajasthan and India developed. He (PM Modi) will fulfil it," he said.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP registered a sweeping victory, winning 24 out of 25 seats in Rajasthan, while the remaining one seat was won by Rashtriya Loktrantrik Party candidate Hanuman Beniwal.
The first phase of polling for the 18th Lok Sabha elections was held on Friday. The polling was held in 108 parliamentary constituencies spread over 21 states and Union Territories.
The next round of voting will be held on April 26. The counting of votes and results will be declared on June 4. (ANI)
