New Delhi [India], September 15 (ANI): AAP MP Sanjay Singh on Sunday launched a scathing attack on BJP, saying that Arvind Kejriwal was arrested to end Aam Aadmi Party and to do horse-trading, but the BJP failed to accomplish those goals.
While speaking to ANI, he said that the people of Delhi will be deciding on the honesty or guilt of the Delhi CM, expressing confidence that he would be getting a 'certificate' of honesty from the public.
"BJP is a dishonest, shameless party, they have put false and baseless allegations on Arvind Kejriwal. The Prime Minister and Home Minister arrested him with the aim of ending the AAP and to do horse-trading here but they (BJP) failed. Now Arvind Kejriwal is leaving, we will get a certificate from the public. I have full confidence that just like how he got 67 and 62 seats before in the Assembly, he will win again. The people of Delhi will decide whether he is honest or guilty. I am sure that Arvind Kejriwal will bring a certificate from the public with a huge majority," the AAP MP said.
He further said Kejriwal has served the people of Delhi faithfully. "Tell me one BJP-ruled state in the country in which there is free education, free electricity, and free medical care, and after that, there was a budget surplus. Arvind Kejriwal has honestly served the people of Delhi and given profits in the budget," he added.
Expressing his belief that BJP can be defeated in the Assembly elections, he said, "Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections are held in Delhi in different ways. Earlier also, the BJP has won the Lok Sabha elections and has been badly defeated in the assembly elections, so this time also they can be defeated."
Earlier, when Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced on Sunday that he will resign from his post after two days. He also demanded for early elections of Delhi Assembly, asking for them to be conducted alongside Maharashtra Assembly polls. (ANI)
