Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], Feb 7 (ANI): Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot on Thursday said that the credibility of all investigating agencies has been lost under the present dispensation at the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that ahead of the coming Lok Sabha elections, the BJP is abusing CBI and ED to target the opposition leaders.
His comments come in the backdrop of Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioning Robert Vadra, the husband of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, for the second consecutive day on Thursday in a money laundering case.
"The credibility of all the investigating agencies in the country has been lost. ED raids ED and similarly CBI ousts CBI. By misusing the Income Tax, ED, CBI, and other agencies, the BJP is trying to curb the voice of those who speak against it," said Pilot.
"The non-BJP leaders are being targeted ahead of the elections. We all see what happened in West Bengal and Kolkata," said Pilot. He said the BJP is infuriated after Priyanka Gandhi joined active politics.
"The kind of politics the Centre and BJP are doing doesn’t suit our country," he said, adding that Priyanka Gandhi came into active politics, the BJP people are nervous and infuriated," he said. (ANI)
