New Delhi [India], July 28 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha has slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Central government over the legislations brought by it and those on its agenda for the monsoon session of Parliament alleging that the bills do not achieve the purpose for which they have been drafted.
"Forest Conservation Bill doesn't conserve forests. Data Protection Bill doesn't protect data. Jan Vishwas Bill doesn't make medicines safer. Farm laws don't benefit farmers. Under BJP, a BILL has become: B: Blatantly I: Ill-conceived L: Legislative L: Liability," Raghav Chadha  said in a tweet.
The government intends to bring the Data Protection Bill in the monsoon session of Parliament.
The Forest Conservation (Amendment) Bill, which provides for exemptions for constructions on forestland, was passed in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, amidst the protests from opposition members over their demands related to the Manipur situation.
AAP is fiercely opposed to the bill to replace the ordinance on control of services in Delhi. The government has decided to bring the bill next week.  The party has sought the support of opposition parties against the ordinance and the bill (ANI)
