Bihar Police raid Muzaffarnagar's Shaheed Khudiram Bose jail

Bolstering the Government of India's push to institutionalise cleanliness and curb official pendency, the Ministry of Power and its associated entities, including autonomous bodies and Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs), have been actively driving the Special Campaigns since 2021, officials said.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in collaboration with the Government of the Union Territory of Ladakh, is conducting a month-long in-person academic support programme for students of Classes X and XII studying in Government schools across Ladakh, the release said.

The Supreme Court on Thursday permitted the Delhi Forest Department to remove invasive tree species from the Central Ridge, subject to strict compliance with the approved Delhi Eco-Restoration Plan 2026-30 and oversight by the Delhi Ridge Management Board. The seized stock consists of multiple illegal categories -- a significant portion of the haul is Foreign Made Foreign Liquor (FMFL), smuggled directly from abroad; Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) mixed stock was recovered during the raid; Defense-Only Liquor, stock legally restricted solely to military personnel and unverified suspected spurious liquor: stock requiring lab testing to trace its origin.

The Patiala House Court on Thursday issued a release warrant for Swatantra Bhardwaj from Tihar Jail after verification of the surety furnished in connection with his three-week interim bail granted on September 15. Bhardwaj, who was arrested in a case of alleged assault on Sanjay Azad, was granted bail on furnishing a bond of Rs 50,000 and one surety in the like amount.
