Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta said that the Vaishya community has a vital role to play in realising Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of 'Viksit Bharat 2047'.

Former IPS officer RN Ravi takes oath as the Governor of West Bengal at a ceremony in Lok Bhawan on Thursday in Kolkata. He was administered the oath by Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court, Sujoy Paul, in the presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee, Senior Minister and Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim and Left Front chairman Biman Bose. RN Ravi also greets West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after taking the oath as the West Bengal Governor.

Assam Governor and Chancellor of Assam Agricultural University, Lakshman Prasad Acharya, attended the 26th Convocation Ceremony of Assam Agricultural University held at Jorhat on Wednesday.

According to the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Gupta emphasised that the new LG's vast diplomatic experience and unwavering commitment to public service will undoubtedly contribute greatly to the governance and development of the National Capital.

"The government should clarify - what is the amount of reserves in our country presently, how much is left, how much can be consumed over how many days, and by when are they expecting that the LPG supply would be normalised. I believe the government is having talks; the people of this nation also need to be told about the current situation. If there is a crisis of energy, then by when the government plans to resolve it should also be clarified to the people, especially to the common man," he said.
