Bihar government to form SITs in each district, shoot-at-sight orders for armed criminals: says State minister Dilip Jaiswal

Purnia(Bihar) [India], June 19 (ANI): Bihar Land Reforms and Revenue Minister Dilip Jaiswal has said that the state government has decided to set up Special Investigation Teams of Bihar Police in every district of the State and they will be empowered to shoot at sight those found roaming about with illegal fireams.
Addressing a public meeting in Purnia on Tuesday, Jaiswal said, "Bihar government has decided that in each district, SIT will be formed...those criminals who roam around with rifle and gun, will be shot at sight. No criminal will be spared..."
The minister in chief Minister Nitish Kumar's government was speaking in the meeting after the nomination of NDA candidate Kaladhar Mandal for the Rupauli assembly by-election scheduled for July 10.
The Rupauli seat was vacated by Bima Bharti, who resigned as JD(U) MLA and joined the RJD to contest the Lok Sabha poll from Purnea.
Meanwhile, Bima Bharti, who had been elected from the seat five times in the past had yesterday said that she will contest the seat on the RJD ticket.
She had said yesterday that either she or her husband Avdesh Mandal will contest on the seat and she will discuss with RJD supremeo Lalu Yadav.
"...Today evening we will get the symbol (Rupauli by-poll) ...There is a lot of difference between Lok Sabha & Vidhan Sabha elections...Either I or my husband will contest the election...," said Bima Bharti. (ANI)
