Supaul [Bihar], Oct 22 (ANI): A couple was beaten up by a mob on Sunday over suspicion of kidnapping a child in Bihar's Supaul district.

Supaul [Bihar], Oct 22 (ANI): A couple was beaten up by a mob on Sunday over suspicion of kidnapping a child in Bihar's Supaul district.
The incident happened near the Sadar police station when the woman offered ice cream to the child who was playing around. The locals misunderstood the couple as child kidnappers and started thrashing them.
On receiving the information, Deputy Superintendent of Police Vidyasagar and Police Chief Vasudev Rai reached the spot and rescued the couple.
Further investigation in the matter is underway.(ANI)
