New Delhi [India], February 5 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a security review meeting for Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, alongside Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and senior officials.
Taking to social media X (formerly Twitter), Shah in a post applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government for its persistent efforts in making Jammu and Kashmir increasingly terror-free by dismantling terror ecosystems.
In his post, Shah stated, "Chaired a security review meeting for Jammu and Kashmir with the Lt. Governor and top officials. Due to the tireless efforts of the Modi govt, Bharat is fast approaching the goal of a terror-free J&K by thwarting the terror ecosystem."
Furthermore, Shah wrote that he instructed agencies to set the goal of zero infiltration in the battle to uproot the existence of terrorists.
"Instructed the agencies to set the goal of zero-infiltration in the battle to uproot the very existence of terrorists," the post read.
Earlier today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasised the need to step up the fight against terrorism with the goal of "zero infiltration," while chairing the Jammu and Kashmir security review meeting in the national capital.
Noting that sustained and coordinated efforts of the union government resulted in a significantly weak terrorism ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir, Shah directed all security agencies to step up the fight against terrorism by aiming for the 'zero infiltration' goal.
Shah asked all security agencies to take "more stringent action on infiltration and acts of terror with a ruthless approach.
"In over a two-hour long meeting, the Minister said, "It should be our goal to uproot the existence of terrorists."
Shah mentioned that the narco network is providing support to infiltrators and terrorists to carry out their activities, stressing the need to take "prompt action against terror funding from the proceeds of the narcotics trade with alacrity and rigour."
Shah directed agencies to make new appointments in the posts of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in view of the timely implementation of the new criminal laws. (ANI)
