Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], September 28 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the Bharat Future City Development Authority (FCDA) building and Redial Road One at Meerkhanpet village in Kandukur mandal on Sunday.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister emphasised that Bharat Future City would become a hub for the world's Fortune 500 companies within the next 10 years.
A new chapter was unfolded in the development of the youngest state of Telangana today with the laying of the foundation stone for the prestigious Bharat Future City, which is poised to emerge as the hub of the world's Fortune 500 companies within a decade.
Amid a large gathering and a cheering atmosphere, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy performed the Bhumi Puja for the construction of the Future City Development Authority (FCDA) building and Redial Road-1 (phases one and two) at Meerkhanpet village in Kandukur mandal.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted the government's vision to promote the Future City as a destination for world-class investment opportunities.
"The future City will be a destination for investments and a world of opportunities. The government prepared ambitious plans to develop the future city into a Great city. Let us develop the city in a way that all the top-class cities in the world discuss the future city," the CM said.
The Chief Minister recollected how the Hyderabad City, Secunderabad and Cyberabad cities were developed during Quli Qutub Shah, Nizam's rule and in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh, respectively. "We have a lot to learn from the past and build a future city for future generations "
Appealing to people to stop falling prey to the opposition's false propaganda against the future city, CM Revanth Reddy stated that some adverse forces had conspired to stall the future city project. The political opponents also levelled allegations that he owned lands in the future city project. "The Future City is for future generations and not for my family members".
The CM sought the cooperation of all and cautioned people to stop approaching the courts, as the government is ready to address grievances through dialogue. The government is proactive in solving the issues of everyone generously.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister stated that, as a landlocked state, Telangana is prepared to construct a Dry Port connecting the greenfield highway between Machilipatnam and Future City.
The Union government has also agreed to develop a bullet train network from Future City to Amaravati.
Elaborating on the unique facilities available in the future city, the CM said that an underground power line network will be developed in the new city. The Future City Development Building and Skill University works will be completed in December. The authority will commence operations and discharge its duties from this building three times a month. All prospective investors will also be invited to the FCDA office for talks.
CM Reddy also suggested to Ministers Bhatti Vikramarka and D. Sridhar Babu to allocate 10 acres of land for the Singareni Collieries Corporate office. (ANI)
