Bereaved kin ropes in sorcerer to resurrect dead boy in Odisha

Kalahandi (Odisha) [India], July 26 (ANI): In a bizarre incident, a bereaved family here roped in a man claiming to be a sorcerer to resurrect the dead.
The kin of Satish Gopal (21), who died of a snakebite, took the so-called sorcerer inside a morgue at Kalahandi District Headquarters Hospital to perform witchcraft in a bid to bring back the dead to life.
According to the police, "the so-called sorcerer performed witchcraft for around three hours inside the morgue."
Police said that the deceased, a resident of Dumerbahal village in Keshinga was first rushed to the Keshinga Community Health Centre last night after he was bitten by a venomous snake. The youth was later referred to the District Headquarters Hospital, Bhawanipatana where he died while undergoing treatment.
High drama unfolded at the hospital as his father, Prasad Gopal roped in a sorcerer to bring the dead back to life. Police later reached the hospital and brought the situation under control. (ANI)
