Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee launches flagship road 'Pathashree-Rastashree' project

The Government has undertaken several initiatives to strengthen the digital ecosystem of the judiciary with the aim of ensuring faster disposal of cases, improving transparency, and enhancing access to justice. These measures are being implemented primarily under the e-Courts Mission Mode Project and through a centrally sponsored scheme that supports State Governments and Union Territories in developing infrastructure for the district and subordinate judiciary.

Former IPS officer RN Ravi takes oath as the Governor of West Bengal at a ceremony in Lok Bhawan on Thursday in Kolkata. He was administered the oath by Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court, Sujoy Paul, in the presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee, Senior Minister and Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim and Left Front chairman Biman Bose. The Project Elephant Division of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), in collaboration with the Wildlife Institute of India, organized a two-day national workshop on "Policy Implementation for Minimizing Elephant Mortalities on Railway Tracks" at the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, on 10-11 March 2026, according to an official release.
