Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Thursday said she has filed a complaint with the National Commission for Women (NCW) against Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over alleged derogatory remarks made during a function held on the occasion of International Women's Day.

Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Sunil Jakhar said that in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the opposition Congress are creating drama through mutual coordination to divert people's attention from real issues affecting Punjab.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday accused Congress of creating "hungama" and they did not let the Union Home Minister speak.

"The government should clarify - what is the amount of reserves in our country presently, how much is left, how much can be consumed over how many days, and by when are they expecting that the LPG supply would be normalised. I believe the government is having talks; the people of this nation also need to be told about the current situation. If there is a crisis of energy, then by when the government plans to resolve it should also be clarified to the people, especially to the common man," he said.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Dinesh Sharma, on Wednesday, commented on the implementation of women's reservation in the parliament, affirming that women's empowerment remains a top priority for the ruling government.

Opposition and NDA members traded charges in Lok Sabha on Tuesday during the no-confidence motion against Speaker Om Birla with Congress members alleging that Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to raise his points during the debate on motion of thanks to the President's Address as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members rejected the allegations and recalled the contributions of the Speaker in favour of members.

Tamil Nadu BJP state President Nainar Nagendran on Tuesday said that any decision regarding a possible alliance with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam would be taken by the central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party, adding that the removal of a party functionary who had invited TVK to join the alliance was an internal matter of the party.

The visit comes ahead of a major youth outreach initiative planned by the Bharatiya Janata Party, under which Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address a massive Youth Conference in Guwahati on March 15. Party sources said around one lakh young people from across the state are expected to take part in the event.
