"Ayodhya is very closely related to Srirangam", says chief priest of Ranganathaswamy Temple

Ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Lord Ram idol in Ayodhya, Sundar Bhattar, chief priest of Ranganathaswamy Temple called Ayodhya and Srirangam closely related. "Srirangam is one of the holiest places in the universe. Ayodhya is very closely related to Srirangam. Srirangam is one of the islands. One side is the Cauvery River and the other side is the Kollidam River. In Ayodhya, there is the Sarayu river and here it is Cauvery. Both are holy rivers."

Srirangam (Tamil Nadu) [India], January 18 (ANI): Ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Lord Ram idol in Ayodhya, Sundar Bhattar, chief priest of Ranganathaswamy Temple called Ayodhya and Srirangam closely related.
"Srirangam is one of the holiest places in the universe. Ayodhya is very closely related to Srirangam. Srirangam is one of the islands. One side is the Cauvery River and the other side is the Kollidam River. In Ayodhya, there is the Sarayu river and here it is Cauvery. Both are holy rivers."
Sundar Bhattar, chief priest of Ranganathaswamy Temple highlighted that the Ganga is the holiest river of all.
"The Ganga is the holiest river but after that comes the Cauvery River."
Sundar Bhattar, chief priest of Ranganathaswamy Temple appealed to devotees to come to Srirangam.
"All the persons going to Ayodhya, come to Srirangam. Prayers in Srirangam and Ayodhya are very closely related to our Hindu dharma. The most ancient living temple is at Srirangam."
Sundar Bhattar, chief priest of Ranganathaswamy Temple said that he will attend the Ram Mandir Pran Prastishta ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22.
"We are very proud of Srirangam and Ayodhya. We are going for the purification function (pran pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya). Our prayers are with all the devotees going to Ayodhya. Just saying Rama destroys our bad karma. I wish for the health and wealth of all."

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. An idol of Ram Lalla will be enthroned in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
Meanwhile, Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra on Wednesday said that the 'Shubh Muhurt' or auspicious time for the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at the temple in Ayodhya is 12.30 pm on January 22.
The black-stone idol of Ram Lalla, exquisitely sculpted by a Mysuru-based sculptor--Arun Yogiraj--has been selected for enthronement.
The rituals started on Tuesday and will continue for seven days. Thousands of VIP guests have received invitations from the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the ceremony.
More than 11,000 guests nationwide have received invitations from the Trust for the Pran Pratistha ceremony, with special arrangements underway to provide memorable gifts to all attendees.
A team of priests led by Lakshmikant Dixit will perform the main rituals at the Pran Prathistha. (ANI)
