Assam: Sarbananda Sonowal shares 'Poori Sabji' with rickshaw and cart pullers in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh (Assam) [India], October 8 (ANI): Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, met with rickshaw and cart pullers in Dibrugarh on Tuesday.
According to an official statement, the Dibrugarh MP interacted with the workers and shared a meal of Poori Sabji with them.
Speaking on the occasion, Sonowal said, "The objective of Narendra Modi's government is to empower and enable every person in society through the Antyodaya philosophy, which ensures equal development with dignity for everyone. Your hard work has always supported the local economy."

"It has been a privilege to meet all of you today during this beautiful Durga Puja season. I enjoyed having Poori Sabji with our Shramik brothers, as it reminded me of my childhood", the MP added.

Earlier in the day Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had exuded confidence in BJP winning both of these Assembly elections. "BJP will win for sure. Till now, the news we have received is enthusiastic. This is the result of hard work that PM Modi has done in the last 10 years for all sections of society," Sonowal told reporters here.
As per the latest update from the Election Commission's website in the ongoing Haryana Legislative Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged as the leading party, securing 29 seats and leading in 20 more, for a total of 49 seats.
The Indian National Congress (INC) follows closely, having won 28 seats and leading in eight others, bringing their total to 36 seats. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has yet to win any seats but is leading in two constituencies. Additionally, Independent candidates have won 2 seats and are leading in one more, making a total of 3. The Assembly has 90 seats, with results declared for 59 and 31 still being counted.
However, in the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections, the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) emerged as the leading party, winning 41 seats and leading in one more.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) followed with 27 seats and is leading in two more.
The Indian National Congress (INC) secured six seats, while the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP) won three seats. The Jammu & Kashmir People Conference (JPC) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) each won one seat. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) is leading in one seat, and seven Independent candidates have secured seats. The total number of seats in the Assembly is 90, with results declared for 86 and four seats still being counted. (ANI)
