Assam police have apprehended a person from Hojai district who had planted an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Guwahati.

Guwahati (Assam) [India], September 8 (ANI): Assam police have apprehended a person from Hojai district who had planted an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Guwahati.
The arrested person was identified as Manab Kalita.
A senior official of Assam police told ANI that, Jorhat Police have apprehended Manab Kalita from Kaki area in Hojai district, who was responsible for planting the IED in Guwahati.
"Jorhat Police are now handing him over to Guwahati Police for arrest in connection with their case," the senior police official said.
