Assam govt to distribute appointment letters to over 11,000 candidates on Friday

Guwahati (Assam) [India], September 22 (ANI): To fulfil the promise to provide one lakhs jobs to the people of Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will appoint 11,202 people in various government departments on September 23.

Guwahati (Assam) [India], September 22 (ANI): To fulfil the promise to provide one lakhs jobs to the people of Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will appoint 11,202 people in various government departments on September 23.
The Assam government will hand over appointment letters to 11202 candidates in 21 government departments on September 23 in a ceremonial function to be held at Khanapara Veterinary field in Guwahati.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will ceremonially distribute the appointment letters to 11202 candidates.
Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister said these appointments will be in addition to the already appointed 27,737 candidates.
"We commit, we deliver- Major milestone in our drive to ensure one lakh jobs in Assam. Following 27,737 successful recruitments, GoA will now hand over appointment letters to 11,202 candidates in 21 govt depts on September 23, 2022, in a ceremonial function in Khanapara, Guwahati," said Sarma.
Of the total posts, the highest 5,335 appointments will take place in the Home and Political Department, followed by 3,811 in School Education and 927 in Higher and Technical Education.
Public Works Department (PWD) will see 304 recruits, while 299 vacancies will be filled up in Health and Family Welfare, followed by 277 in Panchayat and Rural Department, and 137 in Irrigation Department.
33 candidates will be appointed in Environment and Forest Department, 24 candidates in the Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, 13 candidates in the Sports and Youth Welfare Department and 11 candidates in Transformation and Development Department.
Other Departments where recruitments will take place in Handloom and Textiles, Cooperation, Information and Public Relations, and Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Departments as well.
Recently, the Assam government appointed 27,737 candidates in the government departments.
