Assam: CM Sarma attends Pragya Foundation's "Youth Leadership Conclave 2024" in Guwahati

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended a "Youth Leadership Conclave 2024" organised by the Pragya Foundation at the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra International Auditorium in the Panjabari area of Guwahati on Friday.

Guwahati (Assam) [India], January 12 (ANI): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended a "Youth Leadership Conclave 2024" organised by the Pragya Foundation at the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra International Auditorium in the Panjabari area of Guwahati on Friday.
The event was held in conjunction with the birth anniversary of the great philosopher and monk Swami Vivekananda.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Minister Sarma referred to Swami Vivekananda as one of the greatest thinkers and philosophers of all time to have been born in the Indian subcontinent and said that his teachings remain relevant in the 21st century as well.
He said Swami Vivekananda's undying faith in the innate qualities of Indian civilization and culture continues to motivate youths of this generation.
Chief Minister Sarma also said it is the duty of today's youths to take their nation to new heights of glory through the medium of knowledge and wisdom.
Referring to the importance Indian civilization has been attaching to justice and truthfulness, Chief Minister Sarma said it is due to these qualities that the subcontinent's culture and civilization have managed to remain relevant for more than 5,000 years.
CM Sarma said that every individual takes birth with a definite purpose in life and that one must have a purpose in life and achieve glory by fulfilling that purpose so that he or she is remembered for ages.
Chief Minister Sarma said the youths of today, having been born in "Amrit Kaal," have the rare opportunity to contribute towards their country's forward march on all fronts.
"The youth of Assam must strive to transform for overall positive development in the state by making use of the opportunities available in front of them," Sarma said.
He exuded confidence that Assam would move towards a new dawn, backed by the collective strength of the state's youth force.
"We should work to ensure that in 10 years from now, Assam can transform itself into one of the top-10 states in terms of economic strength," the Chief Minister said.
The event was also attended by the Chairman of Pragya Foundation, Jitul Sonowal, the trustees of Pragya Foundation, the Political Secretary to the Chief Minister and Member of Parliament, Pabitra Margherita, the Prabharis of various districts, and a host of senior functionaries of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh.
