Assam: 5 dead as van carrying wedding party collides with truck

Dhubri (Assam) [India], Apr 27 (ANI): Five people were killed and several others injured after a tempo traveller carrying a wedding party collided with a truck on National Highway 31 in the Gauripur town of Assam's Dhubri district on Saturday.

Dhubri (Assam) [India], Apr 27 (ANI): Five people were killed and several others injured after a tempo traveller carrying a wedding party collided with a truck on National Highway 31 in the Gauripur town of Assam's Dhubri district on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the wee hours when the said vehicle, carrying the family members of the groom's side, lost control and rammed into a stationary truck.
Four of the five deceased have been identified as Subhas Adhikari, Sambhu Rawat, Utpal Barman and Kanchan Bin.
The injured were rushed to the Dhubri Civic Hospital for treatment.
