Arnab bail a slap to Thackeray government: Somaiya

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Wednesday slammed Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray over accusing him of "sacrificing" his ideology for power and reminded him of his father Bal Thackeray's "oath" to never align with Congress after the incident in 1969.

"We are not getting any real output or support from the government. I only heard that an official named Amol Sonawane from Baramati offered a cheque of Rs 5 lakh," he said.

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that it is a matter of pride for the Santal community that our ancestor, Tilka Majhi, raised the banner of revolt against exploitation nearly 240 years ago. Nearly 60 years after his revolt, the brave brothers Sido-Kanhu and Chand-Bhairav, along with the brave sisters Phoolo-Jhano, led the Santal Hul in 1855.

Shah was attending an event held to mark four years of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government in Uttarakhand. Among those who received appointment letters on stage were Aman Singh, Akash, Abhay Chauhan, Arjun Nath Goswami, and Yogesh Nath.
