Army Chief visits Para brigade in Agra to review operational preparedness
New Delhi [India], Mar 10 (ANI): Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Sunday visited Para Brigade in Agra - a fully airborne brigade and a decisive force multiplier - and reviewed their operational readiness.
New Delhi [India], Mar 10 (ANI): Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Sunday visited Para Brigade in Agra - a fully airborne brigade and a decisive force multiplier - and reviewed their operational readiness.
In 1971, airborne operations by the Independent Para Brigade accelerated the momentum of operations leading to surrender of Pakistan Armed Forces at Dacca.
The Army Chief was briefed on the readiness of the Para Brigade. He interacted with all ranks, reviewed operational preparedness and specialist training.
The Army Chief complimented them for maintaining highest standards of training, operational readiness, morale and motivation and exemplary synergy with the Indian Air Force.
He also directed the formations to ensure readiness and be prepared to decisively deal with emerging challenges that may develop. (ANI)
