"Anyone who has support of High Command..": AICC Haryana incharge on CM's face

AICC in-charge of Haryana, Deepak Babaria on Thursday said that anyone can project himself as the CM, provided he has the support of the Congress High Command and MLAs.

New Delhi [India], August 29 (ANI): AICC in-charge of Haryana, Deepak Babaria on Thursday said that anyone can project himself as the CM, provided he has the support of the Congress High Command and MLAs.
On CM's face for Haryana, AICC in-charge of Haryana, Deepak Babaria says, "Yes, it can happen (that those who do not contest elections can become CM). Anyone can project himself as CM, provided that person has the support of MLAs and the blessings of the party high command."
Detaling about the Congress party's preparation for the 2024 polls in Haryana, Babaria said, "More than 60% of the work has been completed. The (CEC) meeting is likely to be held on September 2. We are fully prepared for the elections, everyone knows that this is not the Election Commission, it is the BJP Commission. As per my knowledge, it is final( that no Congress MP will contest the election)..."
On speculations of Vinesh Phogat contesting in the Haryana Assembly elections, Hooda said that the answers will be provided at the appropriate time.
Menawhile, the BJP is also gearing up for the 2024 Assembly elections in Haryana.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday met BJP Haryana Assembly election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan ahead of the Central Election Committee meeting.
CM Nayab Singh Saini and Manohar Lal Khattar arrived at the residence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, early on thursday morning.
The Central Election Committee meeting was held today chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President JP Nadda. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Organisation General Secretary BL Santosh, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, State President Mohanlal Badoli and other members were also part of the meeting.
Voting for 90 seats of the Haryana Assembly elections will be held on October, 1.
The results will be declared on October, 4.
Earlier on Tuesday, ahead of Haryana polls, Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and Chandra Shekhar Azad's Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) on announced their alliance.The alliance will contest on all 90 Assembly constituencies in Haryana with JJP competing on 70 seats while ASP on 20.
Haryana will go to polls on October 1 in a single phase. (ANI)
