Another batch of pilgrims leave for Amarnath Yatra

The pilgrims were heading towards the base camps of the Baltal and Pahalgam, from where they would set out for the holy shrine to connect with their faith and seek blessings.

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 28 (ANI): Another batch of pilgrims left from the Panthachowk in Srinagar here on Sunday for the Amarnath cave shrine in the South Kashmir Himalayas amid tight security arrangements.
The pilgrims were heading towards the base camps of the Baltal and Pahalgam, from where they would set out for the holy shrine to connect with their faith and seek blessings.
Binay Kumarsi, a pilgrim from Uttar Pradesh, said, "I am going for the Amarnath Yatra from Baltal. All the arrangements made are really good. I will pray for the safety of everyone and the progress of the country."
"The arrangements made here are really good. The security arrangements are good too. I am really happy I came here. I will pray for the safety of everyone. "said Kamal Nirmalkar, a resident of Chattisgarh.
This year, the Amarnath Yatra is taking place amid a significant increase in the number of terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board organises the Amarnath Yatra, which is divided into two routes: one through Pahalgam and the other through Baltal in the Ganderbal district of Kashmir.
The 52-day yatra, which commenced formally on June 29 from the Baltal and Pahalgam base camps in Kashmir, is scheduled to conclude on August 19.
Devotees of Lord Shiva undertake this arduous annual pilgrimage to the holy cave located in the South Kashmir Himalayas. (ANI)
