Annual post-monsoon runway maintenance work successfully completed: Mumbai Airport

To carry out the maintenance work, the airport was shut for flights on both the runways RWY 09/27 and RWY 14/32 from1100 hrs to 1700 hrs IST.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 17 (ANI): The annual post-monsoon runway maintenance work was successfully completed on Thursday, according to the Mumbai Airport's official social media 'X' handle.

To carry out the maintenance work, the airport was shut for flights on both the runways 09/27 and 14/32 from 1100 hrs to 1700 hrs on Thursday.


"#MumbaiAirport completed its annual Post-Monsoon Runway Maintenance today which pre-emptively inspects and addresses surface degradation brought on by the rains, restoring the infrastructure to enable the highest safety and operational standards," Mumbai Airport posted on X through official handle.
"This successful completion of maintenance readies @csmia_official to uphold passenger safety and operational efficiency. #mumbaiairport #safetyfirst #airside #airsideoperations #GatewayToGoodness," it added.

A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has also been duly issued in this regard six months in advance.
"Flight schedules have been coordinated well in advance, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to ensure seamless operations and smooth execution of the post-monsoon runway maintenance," it said. (ANI)
