Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Mar 10 (ANI): Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Gopal Bhargav has returned three policemen deployed for his security after two policemen were allegedly removed from his security apparatus without informing him by the government.
In a letter to the Madhya Pradesh Police DGP VK Singh, Bhargav alleged that there was a political and administrative conspiracy behind ‘tampering’ with his security apparatus.
“Neglecting the present condition, when law and order are in turmoil in the state, criminals are feeling encouraged, daylight murders and robberies tampering with my security apparatus seem to be a consequence of the political and administrative conspiracy,” he wrote in the letter.
“Hope you are aware that the Home Department has made available five policemen for my security. Two of them were separated from my security system on March 5, 2019, without informing me. Since I have been elected by the people for the people, I believe the public, to whom I am accountable, are capable to ensure my security,” Bhargav said in his letter to the DGP.
He reminded the police chief that he has been an MLA for 35 years, and was a minister in the previous government for 15 years apart from being the senior-most member in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly and also the Leader of Opposition in the assembly.
“I am returning the remaining three policemen to the Home Department from this day itself,” he wrote in the letter. (ANI)
