Andhra Pradesh: YSRCP candidate Botsa Jhansi Lakshmi files nomination from Vizag for 2024 Lok Sabha elections

Former MP Botsa Jhansi Lakshmi filed his nomination papers for Vizag as a YRSCP candidate in Andhra Pradesh for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], April 23 (ANI): Former MP Botsa Jhansi Lakshmi filed her nomination papers from the Vizag constituency as a YSRCP candidate in Andhra Pradesh for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
She is the wife of the State Education Minister and YSRCP senior leader, Botsa Satyanarayana.
Lakshmi served twice as MP from the Bobbili and Vizianagaram Lok Sabha constituencies.
On Monday, a massive rally of YSRCP supporters, starting from the Visakhapatnam party office, reached the collector office through Beach Road.
She handed over her nominations to the election-returning officer, A Mallikarjuna.
Before filing her nomination, Jhansi Lakshmi met the Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Yendada in Vizag City. She was accompanied by her husband and family members.
Several leaders of the party were also present during the nomination process.
Lakshmi told the media, "Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy decided to use Visakhapatnam as the administrative capital and asked the people of Visakhapatnam. She asked "to vote for YSRCP to develop Visakhapatnam City."
Rajya Sabha MP and YSRCP north Andhra regional coordinator YV Subba Reddy, State Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, State IT Minister Amarnath, former Minister MSrinuvasarao and other MLA candidates participated in a rally held before her nomination.
Andhra Pradesh has 25 Lok Sabha seats.
The Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh will be simultaneously held on May 13.
In the 2019 Assembly elections, the YSRCP won with a thumping majority of 151 seats, while the TDP was confined to 23 seats. In the Lok Sabha polls, the YSRCP won 22 seats, while the TDP could only win three seats. (ANI)
