Andhra Pradesh: RPF official conferred Police Medal on Independence Day eve

The Divisional Railway Protection Force (RPF) bestowed Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Analytical Data Management Cell, Nayeem Basha Shaik with a prestigious police medal on Wednesday on the eve of the 78th Independence Day.

Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) [India], August 15 (ANI): The Divisional Railway Protection Force (RPF) bestowed Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Analytical Data Management Cell, Nayeem Basha Shaik with a prestigious police medal on Wednesday on the eve of the 78th Independence Day.
Naveem Basha joined the force as a constable in the year 1995 and has worked for 28 years in the Railway Protection Force.
Basha assisted the RPF recruitment committees of constables and sub-inspectors, Ancillary staff recruitments of Inspector/Sub-Inspector in Railway Protection Force and promotional courses in preparation of data of candidates and completed the process in record time without any complaints for which he was appreciated by the Chairman/Members of all the recruitment Committees.
Additionally, he has been tasked with dealing with the Railway Passengers (Manner of Untoward Incident) 2020.
During his stint, as many as 530 claim investigation cases were sent to the Claims Branch of SCR with DRM's approval.
Basha's analysis and explanatory notes were quite useful during the trial of these cases in Railway Claims Tribunals for the respondent side.
Divisional Railway Manager of the Vijayawada Division, Narendra A. Patil expressed his happiness on the recognition received by the RPF and said that the division would continue to excel in its primary duty of providing security to the rail users.
Shri Valleswara B. Thokala. Senior DSC congratulated Shaik for bagging the medal in recognition to his meritorious service.
On Wednesday, President Droupadi Murmu approved one President's Tatrakshak Medal (Distinguished Service), one Tatrakshak Medal (Gallantry) and two Tatrakshak Medals (Meritorious Service) to the Indian Coast Guard personnel on the eve of Independence Day 2024.
These honours recognise the exceptional bravery, devotion to duty and meritorious service demonstrated by the recipients.
According to an official release from the Ministry of Defence, the President's Tatrakshak Medal (Distinguished Service) will be awarded to IG Donny Michael, TM (0258-L) and the Tatrakshak Medal (Gallantry) will be awarded to Dy Comdt Aaqil Pathan (1544-J). (ANI)
