Andhra Pradesh: CISF detains person carrying knife at airport

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday extended heartfelt greetings to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on the occasion of 57th Raising Day.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday reaffirmed that the security forces will fulfil the resolve of eradicating Naxalism from the country by March 31, 2026.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday attended the 57th Raising Day of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at the Kharavela Regional Training Centre, Mundali in Cuttack, Odisha.

According to officials, the case came to light on February 8, 2026, when CISF personnel reported the pasting of pro-Pakistan and pro-terror posters at Janpath Metro Station and nearby areas. Similar posters were subsequently found at other locations in Delhi.

CISF said in a post on X, "A Joint Counter-Terrorist Mock Exercise was conducted at Delhi Airport to enhance interagency coordination, preparedness & response to security threats. CISF in coordination with NSG, Delhi Police, BCAS, ARFF (DIAL), Fire Services and Medical Services participated, focusing on strengthening threat response, sharpening tactical readiness and ensuring seamless inter-agency coordination."
