Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Nov13 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday slammed the Central government, saying that it was taking revenge from the state government by conducting I-T raids.
While addressing a gathering of ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers, the Chief Minister said, "I have no anger against the BJP or the NDA. What we wanted is the development of our state. But they are taking revenge on us. They are attacking us through I-T raids. Our development is a result of our efforts only. The Central government is of no use to the public of the country. It is not working for the general public."
He further added, "All the institutions in the country are collapsing. The country is passing through a bad time. That is why I took the initiative to save the nation by uniting all the opposition parties. We have to get the BJP defeated in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections."
"The BJP is now scared of defeat. That is why they are misusing CBI, I-T, ED and other agencies. Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is now neck deep in corruption. The RBI is also in trouble. The Centre is trying to hamper the functioning of the RBI," Naidu added.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister also announced an increase in the honorarium given to the ASHA workers. He said, "We have increased it to Rs 3,000 per month. With other incentives, you can get a minimum monthly remuneration of Rs 8,300. No other state government in India is giving this much amount to the ASHA workers."
Lauding the ASHA workers, Naidu said, "You are responsible for the health of women and their children in your area. Your services are laudable." He also presented the workers with smart tablet devices to register data. (ANI)
