Andhra CM takes stock of Polavaram project

Amravati (Andhra Pradesh)[India], Oct.31 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently chaired a meeting and reviewed the progress of Polavaram project in Amravati.

Naidu also interacted with tribal women from the villages in the range of Polavaram project. The women were given training in skill development by the government, and got recruited in different companies.

The Chief Minister also assured that all the tribal youth in the range of Polavaram project will be given training in skill development. They will be provided help in finding placement in national and international level companies.

The Chief Minister appreciated L&T and Baver companies for completing works in time.

He added that the government has primarily decided to follow the rule 60 C so that the project work doesn't get delayed. However, the final decision will be taken only after a cabinet meeting.

The government will strictly adhere to the judicial process in case of Polavaram project, he said.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction that diaphragm wall construction is going smoothly and in time. He ordered not to delay earth work and concrete work.

He further said that in order to speed up the gate construction work, proper action should be taken so that all clearances can be attained from the CWC.

The officials of irrigation and water resources department said that ten projects are ready for inauguration. They are part of 28 projects supposed to be finished before December this year.

The Chief Minister said all those ten projects will be inaugurated in three consecutive days. (ANI)
