Andhra: Amaravathi to get Ratan Tata Innovation Hub soon

The capital city of Amaravathi will soon have Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, announced the Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, here on Monday.

Amaravathi (Andhra Pradesh) [India], October 14 (ANI): The capital city of Amaravathi will soon have a Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, announced the Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, here on Monday.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting on the policies being adopted for Industrial Development, MSME and Food Processing and made it clear that generating employment is the top priority of his Government. CM Naidu said that industrial policies should be in accordance with this and should pave the way for speed of doing business by attracting investments.
He felt that more exercise was needed on the policy on private industrial parks and decided to bring before the Cabinet the other three policies at its next meeting. As the officials submitted to the Chief Minister the policies formulated on these subjects, Chandrababu conducted an in-depth study on them and also shared his views and experiences with the officials.
The Chief Minister said that the innovation hub that will be established in Amaravathi will be named after the noted business tycoon, Late Ratan Tata which he said, will certainly take the industrial sector forward in the state.
Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons, passed away at the age of 86 on October 9 at the Breach Candy Hospital in the city.
Ratan Tata, born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai, was the Chairman of Ratan Tata Trust and Dorabji Tata Trust, two of the largest private-sector-promoted philanthropic trusts in India.
He was the Chairman of Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata Group, from 1991 until his retirement in 2012. Then he was appointed Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons. He was honoured with the country's second-highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, in 2008.
Following his death, the Tata Trusts, in an official statement, confirmed the appointment of Noel Naval Tata as its new chairman on Friday. (ANI)
