Supreme Court

New Delhi [India], Oct 24 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday asked two forensic auditors to file a detailed status report by Thursday regarding their progress in the Amrapali case.
The two forensic auditors -- Ravinder Bhatia and Pawan Aggarwal -- on Wednesday submitted to the apex court's division bench, headed by Justice Arun Mishra and also comprising Justice Uday Umesh Lalit, that there could be a threat to their lives. But at present, the threat does not seem to be imminent, they appraised the top court.
To this, the court said "If you think or you even slightly feel that there is a threat perception to both of your lives, please you (forensic auditors) inform us or the lawyer's connected to the case. We will take proper steps and ensure your safety and security."
The two auditors further submitted to the apex court that the six office premises of Amrapali in Noida and Greater Noida had been opened, and these are being inquired into.
The top court also sought information from the auditors regarding the timeline to inquire all the documents. The auditors, in response, said they are at present making a detailed catalogue of all the documents and will take more time.
The court fixed the matter for further hearing on Friday. (ANI)
