New Delhi [India], October 26 (ANI): Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, will attend the 20th Formation Day inaugural ceremony of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) as Chief Guest on October 28 in the national capital.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, India is committed to implementing inclusive and proactive actions to mitigate the impact of disasters, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 10-point agenda for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) strategies.
This year's theme is 'Empowering Communities for Disaster Risk Reduction Through Awareness for Behavioural Change', aimed at promoting awareness activities to drive behavioural change within communities residing in disaster-prone areas, supporting the goal of disaster risk reduction.

The event will bring together senior officials from central and state ministries and departments, representatives from international and UN agencies, bureaucrats, disaster management experts, NGO members, and key stakeholders involved in disaster management across the country.
In addition to the dignitaries, volunteers from Apada Mitra, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Service Scheme (NSS), and Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) have also been invited to participate in the mega event. (ANI)
