New Delhi [India], September 13 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the two-day National Security Strategies (NSS) Conference 2024 here in the national capital on Friday.
In the two-day conference, a roadmap of solutions to emerging national security challenges will be chalked out with the top police leadership of states, Union Territories, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and Central Police Organisations (CPOs).
Over 750 officers are participating in the conference from across the country, which is being held in a hybrid format combining physical and virtual modes, according to a statement.
Union Ministers of State for Home Nityanand Rai and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Additional and Deputy NSA's and Heads of CAPFs and CPOs attended the conference in Delhi on the first day. DGPs of states and UTs and young police officers at the cutting-edge level and domain experts from specialised fields joined the conference from the respective state capitals through the virtual mode.
Prior to the inauguration, the Home Minister laid a wreath at the martyrs column and paid homage to the valorous police personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
The Home Minister also launched the DGPs/IGPs Conference Recommendations' dashboard developed by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) in order to implement the decisions taken during the annual Director Generals of Police and Inspector Generals of Police Conference chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
