New Delhi [India], September 21 (ANI): Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh wished Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh on his appointment as the Chief of Air Staff on Saturday.
Congratulating him in a post on X, he said, "Warm congratulations to Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh on his appointment as the next Chief of the Indian Air Force. I wish him all success!"

Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu also congratulated the newly appointed Indian Air Force Chief
The minister praised the Air Marshal for his "exemplary leadership" and dedication to the nation.
"Heartiest congratulations to Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh on being appointed as the next Chief of the Air Staff! His exemplary leadership and dedication to the nation will undoubtedly take the Indian Air Force to even greater heights. Wishing him all the success in this prestigious role!"
Former Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa also congratulated the Air Marshal, he said, Heartiest congratulations to Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh on his appointment as the next Chief of the Indian Air Force. Your steadfast commitment and exemplary leadership will inspire the youth of India to reach new heights."
The Government appointed Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh, presently serving as Vice Chief of the Air Staff, as the next Chief of the Air Staff, in the rank of Air Chief Marshal, with effect from the afternoon of September 30, 2024.
The present Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari demits office on September 30, 2024, as per a press release from the Ministry of Defence.
Born on October 27, 1964, Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh was commissioned into the fighter pilot stream of the Indian Air Force in December 1984.
During his long and distinguished service spanning nearly 40 years, he has served in a variety of Command, Staff, Instructional and Foreign appointments.
An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College and National Defence College, the Air Officer is a Qualified Flying Instructor and an Experimental Test Pilot with more than 5,000 hours of flying experience on a variety of fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. (ANI)
