Alwar lynching: Rajasthan IG assures transparent, unbiased probe

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], July 22 (ANI): Inspector General (IG) of Jaipur, Hemant Priyadarshi on Sunday said that probe in the Alwar lynching incident is being carried out in transparent and unbiased manner.

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], July 22 (ANI): Inspector General (IG) of Jaipur, Hemant Priyadarshi on Sunday said that probe in the Alwar lynching incident is being carried out in transparent and unbiased manner.
Priyadarshi informed that the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Crime and Vigilance (Jaipur Range) will probe the case.
"Additional SP Crime and Vigilance (Jaipur Range) will investigate Alwar lynching. FIR has been registered against unknown people and the probe is being done in a transparent and unbiased manner," Priyadarshi said.
28-year-old Akbar Khan along with his friend was taking some cows to his village through a forest near Lalawandi area in the Alwar district of Rajasthan when some locals allegedly thrashed him brutally on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday, suspecting him to be a cow smuggler.
The police immediately rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Police have, so far, arrested two suspects and launched a manhunt for other suspects. (ANI)
