"Almost 45 crore people will attend the Maha Kumbh": Union Minister Meghwal extends best wishes to UP CM

The Maha Kumbh held once every 12 years, is scheduled to begin on January 13 in Prayagraj and conclude on February 26. The main bathing rituals, known as the Shahi Snan (royal baths), will take place on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami).

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 4 (ANI): Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Saturday praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for making "very good arrangements" for the Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj.
The Maha Kumbh held once every 12 years, is scheduled to begin on January 13 in Prayagraj and conclude on February 26. The main bathing rituals, known as the Shahi Snan (royal baths), will take place on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami).
"Almost 45 crore people will attend the Mahakumbh. I extend best wishes to the people of Prayagraj, officers, and UP CM Yogi Adityanath as they are making very good arrangements," Meghwal said while speaking to the media.
Uttar Pradesh Police has deployed underwater drones and installed 2,700 AI-enabled cameras in and around the Maha Kumbh campsite area to enhance security.
Earlier, highlighting the immense cultural and spiritual significance of the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, Adityanath on Tuesday noted that the event is expected to be an even grander spectacle than previous editions.
"The country and the world are eager to come to Prayagraj Kumbh. Everyone wants to see this biggest spiritual and religious gathering of Uttar Pradesh and the country with their own eyes. The Maha Kumbh Mela has taken its own shape. The program is progressing on a war footing and people are enthusiastic. This auspicious moment of Maha Kumbh is coming after 144 years and the country and the world want to be a witness to this great gathering," said CM Yogi. (ANI)
