"All necessary arrangements made," says Chief Electoral Officer as Madhya Pradesh gears up for phase 4 of LS polls

As the state of Madhya Pradesh is all set to go to the polls in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 13, the state's Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan provided details about the polls and said that all the necessary arrangements have been made.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 12 (ANI): As the state of Madhya Pradesh is all set to go to the polls in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 13, the state's Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan provided details about the polls and said that all the necessary arrangements have been made.
While addressing a press conference in Bhopal, Anupam Rajan said, "Voting will be held tomorrow for eight Lok Sabha seats. Three phases of elections have already been completed."
Rajan added further, "There are 14 candidates in Indore and five candidates in Khargone. The timing for the voting will be from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm"
The Chief Electoral Officer also talked about the preparations and informed, "Keeping in mind the heat, all the necessary arrangements have been made. At every polling booth, the arrangement of shade and drinking water has been done."
Rajan added further, "The facilities of medicines and chairs have also been done. The booths have made arrangements for elderly people as well as people coming with small babies also."
The constituencies that will go to polls in the fourth phase and final phase of Lok Sabha elections in state on May 13 include Ujjain, Dhar, Dewas, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Indore, Khargone, and Khandwa.
Lok Sabha polls in Madhya Pradesh are underway in four phases. The first phase of voting ended on April 19, followed by the second phase on April 26 and the third phase on May 7.
The counting of votes will be held on June 4.
With 29 Lok Sabha constituencies, Madhya Pradesh ranks sixth among all states in terms of its representation in the Lower House. Of these, 10 seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates, while the remaining 19 are unreserved. (ANI)
