'All India Thal Sainik Camp' kicks off with enthusiasm at Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantt

New Delhi [India], September 20 (ANI): The 'All India Thal Sainik Camp', a prestigious event that celebrates discipline, leadership, and national integration, was officially inaugurated today by Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh.
Held at the Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantt, the grand event marks the commencement of a 12-day adventure-filled journey for 1,547 enthusiastic cadets hailing from 17 NCC Directorates, encompassing all states and union territories, read the Ministry of Defence press release.
With 867 boys and 680 girls forming an integral part of this event, the All India Thal Sainik Camp 2023 promises to be a vibrant and transformative experience for young minds.
From September 19 to September 30, these cadets will participate in various competitions and training disciplines, including shooting, obstacle training, map reading, and a range of professional training activities, read the press release.
In his inaugural address, Director General National Cadet Corps (DG NCC) Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh extended a warm welcome to the cadets, emphasizing that this camp offers them an opportunity to explore a life full of adventure, discipline, and honour.
Singh said, “It would give them an exposure to life full of adventure, discipline & honour, thereby inculcating a sense of leadership and camaraderie. The aim of the camp is to give an exposure to salient aspects of Army Wing Training, generate competitive spirit and fostering sense of discipline, leadership and national Integration amongst the participating cadets”.
He highlighted the importance of fostering a sense of leadership and camaraderie among the young participants, as they embark on a journey that encompasses salient aspects of Army Wing Training.
The primary objectives of the All India Thal Sainik Camp are to instil a competitive spirit among the cadets, nurture a deep sense of discipline, and promote national integration, the release said.
It serves as a platform where young minds can not only showcase their talents but also develop critical life skills that will serve them well in the future.
As the camp unfolds over the coming days, these cadets will have the opportunity to learn, compete, and forge lasting bonds with peers from across the nation.
The All India Thal Sainik Camp 2023 stands as a testament to the commitment of the NCC in shaping the future leaders of India, instilling values of courage, discipline, and patriotism that will guide them on their journeys ahead, the release said. (ANI)
