Alcohol worth Rs 1.50 crore seized in Goa

Goa [India], Mar 27 (ANI): Thanks to strict vigilance ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, a team of District Investigation Unit (DIU) on Wednesday seized liquor worth Rs 1.5 crore from a storage facility at three places here.

Goa [India], Mar 27 (ANI): Thanks to strict vigilance ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, a team of District Investigation Unit (DIU) on Wednesday seized liquor worth Rs 1.5 crore from a storage facility at three places here.
After receiving specific intelligence inputs, a team of DIU conducted raids at three places in Dhargal and Prenem and a huge quantity of alcohol was seized.
On interrogation, persons in possession of liquor failed to show any license or permit to sell it. Police have registered a case. Further investigation is underway. (ANI)
