Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], August 22 (ANI): Union Minister and BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday took a dig at Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren after JMM leader Champai Soren hinted at forming a new political party and hinted at possible future alliances.
Chouhan accused Hemant Soren of being responsible for the current state of affairs in Jharkhand and stated that he deceived many people, including his own relatives - "aisa koi saga nahi jisko Hemant Soren ne thaga nahi."
"Now whatever is being done is done by Hemant Soren. He (Champai Soren) expressed his pain. He is one of the founders of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha who worked hand in hand with Shibu Soren...Due to Hemant Soren's behaviour, Sita Soren was in the same condition earlier. 'Aisa koi saga nahi jisko Hemnat Soren ne thaga nahi'...Champai ji has said everything, BJP has nothing to do with this," Chouhan said.
Champai Soren's decision to form a new political outfit follows a period of what he described as "bitter humiliation" during his tenure as Jharkhand chief minister.
"I had mentioned three options - retirement, organisation, or friend. I will not retire; I will strengthen the party, a new party, and if I meet a good friend on the way, then will move ahead with them," said Champai Soren, leaving open the possibility of future alliances.
On Sunday, Champai took to social media to voice his grievances, stating that he had been "insulted" during his tenure as Chief Minister and that all options remained open ahead of the forthcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections.
As the political climate in Jharkhand intensifies, all eyes are on Champai Soren and his next move, with significant implications for the upcoming state elections.
Assembly elections are going to be held in Jharkhand this year in 2024 and BJP has fully prepared to corner the government.
Earlier today, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren attacked the Union government and said that the central government have ruined the lives of the youth of the entire country.
"The BJP and the central government have ruined the lives of the youth of the entire country. The sons and daughters of the poor mostly used to join the coal India, army, railways and banks but the BJP has closed the doors to employment in all these sectors," Soren said.
"We are continuously giving benefits to people from different mediums. We have given thousands of benefits in small and large numbers today. Whether it is the benefits of Panchayat Sachiv, teachers, or agricultural departments. We have done many benefits. And we have to give more benefits now, he added.
Jharkhand CM also started Samman Rashi of Rs 1000 and linked 9 lakh girls of the state with the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana.
"We have started giving Samman Rashi Rs 1000, this work will continue. We promise to deliver Rs 1 lakh to your home within the next 5 years. Linked 9 lakh girls of the state with Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana. Its number will probably be 15 lakh now," Jharkhand CMO posted on X. (ANI)
