AIMIM to hold public meeting in Hyderabad to protest against atrocities in Gaza and Palestine: Party chief Owaisi

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 18 (ANI): All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday announced a public protest meeting in the state capital on October 23 against the atrocities in Gaza and Palestine amid the ongoing conflict.
"We will be organising a Protest Public Meeting against the atrocities in Gaza and Palestine. Heads of all political parties and organisations will be invited. No political or election speeches will be permitted," posted Owaisi on X.
"The Protest Public Meeting will be held on October 23, after 6 PM in Darussalam, Hyderabad," Owaisi posted further.
A spokesperson for the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza claimed that 471 people were killed in an explosion and fire at al-Ahli hospital in central Gaza, with another 28 people in critical condition.
As per the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza, an Israeli airstrike caused the blast, and it killed some 500 people, many of whom had sought shelter from an ongoing Israeli offensive.
The Israeli military, however, said Palestinian militants had fired a barrage of rockets near the hospital at the time.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condoled the loss of lives in an explosion at a hospital in Gaza, saying he was "deeply shocked" by the incident.
Also expressing concern over the mounting civilian casualties in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, those behind such deaths should be "held responsible".
The ministry says 3,478 people have been killed since Israel began bombing the Strip on October 7, in reaction to a Hamas onslaught in which some 1,400 Israelis were massacred. (ANI)
