Thoothukudi (Tamil Nadu) [India], October 26 (ANI): Former Tamil Nadu minister and AIADMK legislature Kadambur Raju on Thursday called the state BJP chief K Annamalai "immature".
Kadambur Raju's remark came after Annamalai said that AIADMK leader Rajendran Balaji's statement that his party leader Edappadi K Palaniswami will become the Prime Minister "is a matter of laughter".
Further coming down heavily on Annamalai, Kovilpatti MLA said, "BJP State President Annamalai is not mature enough. Chandra Shekhar in 1990 and Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1998 became prime ministers because of AIADMK's support...did Annamalai laugh at this... He was not there at that time. Former Rajendran Balaji may have said that it was his opinion. There is nothing to laugh at this. we have to laugh at Annamalai."
Taking a swipe at the ruling DMK's protest against the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is something that is designed to deceive people.
Raju criticised the ruling DMK saying that they are not true on their stand and are trying to deceive people by protesting against NEET.
"During the election, DMK said that they knew how to eliminate NEET. The DMK said that they would abolish the exam. But in the third year of coming to power, they are conducting protests against the NEET exam. This is a big scam. They are deceiving the people by thinking that people are fools," he said.
AIADMK severed its ties with the BJP and quit the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on September 25, 2023. AIADMK alleged that BJP had been making "unnecessary remarks" about former AIADMK leaders. The AIADMK also said that it would lead an "alliance of like-minded parties" in the Lok Sabha elections. (ANI)
