"After Pran Partishtha of Lord Ram, festival of lights has begun": Swami Govind Dev Giri

"Our entire nation! And the whole world too today! After the Pran Partishtha, festival of lights has begun. It is not a common thing to get such an ascetic national leader. This is the identity of this country, this country's self-respect and this country's self-confidence, its prestige. After 500 years of prestige, this could be possible," said Swami Govind Dev Giri.

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 22 (ANI): After the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple, Ayodhya, Swami Govind Dev Giri, treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust said that after the Pran Partishtha of Ram Lalla, festival of lights has begun.
He shed light on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's deep-rooted spiritual connection to the project and his meticulous preparations for the momentous occasion.
Giri described the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla Temple as a culmination of 500 years of "prestige" for India, not just the construction of a temple.
He emphasized that the event signified India's identity, self-respect, and self-confidence.
"After the Pran Pratishta the festival of lights has begun in our entire nation and the whole world too today. It is not a common thing to get such an ascetic national leader. This is the identity of this country, this country's self-respect and this country's self-confidence, its prestige. After 500 years of waiting, this could be possible," said Swami Govind Dev Giri.
He lauded Prime Minister Modi for preparing for the Pran Prastishtha with true "Sanatan's conscience" and not just a political accomplishment.
"We had consulted the saints and advised the Prime Minister to keep a fast for three days, he kept the fast for the entire eleven days. He has maintained this with strict discipline. We asked him to not travel abroad during this period and he listned to us. He also visited various temples starting from Nashik to Guruvayoor to Rameshwaram. This was like him going across India and inviting all Indian to be at Ayodhya. We only asked him to sleep on the floor for three days, he chose to sleep on the floor for eleven days even in this extreme cold weather" Swami Govind Dev Giri said.
"Our respected Prime Minister has received this as a requirement of Sanatan's conscience. It is not just about this country. It is the good fortune of the entire world that today we have got such a visionary leader like Prime Minister Modi. The era changes because of his power. To bring about this kind of change one has to make efforts in one's life," added Govind Dev Giri.
The idol of Ram Lalla was unveiled on Monday at Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple in Ayodhya in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi led rituals at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in the sanctum sanctorum of the grand temple.
The ceremony was held in an atmosphere of a deep sense of devotion. Indian Air Force (IAF) choppers showered flower petals over Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple premises in Ayodhya as the idol of Ram Lalla was unveiled.
Devotees and guests chanted 'Jai Sri Ram' as the ceremony was held. RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present at the ceremony.
The magnificent Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir is constructed in traditional Nagara style. Its length (east-west) is 380 feet; width 250 feet and height is 161 feet; and is supported by a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors. The pillars and walls of the temple showcase intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, gods, and goddesses. In the main sanctum sanctorum at the ground floor, the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram (the idol of Shri Ramlalla) has been placed.
The main entrance to the Mandir is situated on the eastern side, which can be approached by ascending 32 stairs through the Singh Dwar. There are a total of five Mandaps (Halls) in the Mandir - Nritya Mandap, Rang Mandap, Sabha Mandap, Prathana Mandap and Kirtan Mandap. Near the Mandir is a historic Well (Sita koop), dating back to the ancient era. In the southwestern part of the Mandir complex, at Kuber Tila, the ancient Mandir of Bhagwan Shiv has been restored, along with the installation of a statue of Jatayu. (ANI)
