New Delhi [India], July 31 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Member of Parliament (MP) Jay Prakash Narayan Yadav on Tuesday issued an adjournment motion notice in the Lok Sabha over waterlogging in Patna's Nalanda Medical College Hospital (NMCH).
The NMCH, which is reportedly considered as the second-largest government hospital in the state capital, was seen flooded with rainwater following a heavy rainfall in the state.
Patients were seen lying on the bed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) while the room was inundated with rainwater. Meanwhile, fishes were also spotted swimming in water inside the ICU.
Reportedly, the hospital went through a big clean-up drive and the rainwater was receded after the NMCH cleaned and drained the water.
Meanwhile, waterlogging was also reported outside Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi's residence after an incessant downpour.
It should be noted that heavy rainfall in the state halted the normal life since Friday, as waterlogging and traffic snarls were seen in several parts.
On Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) bulletin issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in few places in Bihar till tomorrow. (ANI)
