"Activities will be conducted to promote geospatial technology in state": Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav

CM Yadav said, "Encouraging participation at the local level in the multidimensional use of indigenous satellites will speed up the development process. While ensuring the implementation of space science-related technologies, activities will be conducted at every level in the state to improve the lives of the people of the state and increase the use of geospatial technology in the process of development."

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 23 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday inaugurated a symposium titled "Touching Lives While Touching the Moon" organised at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis in Bhopal and held discussions on topics of women empowerment.
The symposium was organised by the state government in collaboration with ISRO, National Commission for Women, Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, and EarthSight Foundation.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Yadav said, "Encouraging participation at the local level in the multidimensional use of indigenous satellites will speed up the development process. While ensuring the implementation of space science-related technologies, activities will be conducted at every level in the state to improve the lives of the people of the state and increase the use of geospatial technology in the process of development."
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special contribution in providing opportunities for progress to women in all fields. Along with playing an important role in public life, women in the country are also making achievements in specialised fields like space science. During the Covid period, women played an important role in making vaccines and managing health services," the CM said.
Meanwhile, Member Secretary of the National Commission for Women, Meenakshi Negi said, "Capacity building in the field of geospatial technology will make it easier for public representatives to make decisions regarding development activities. This technology will bring more transparency and speed in development activities." (ANI)
