New Delhi [India], July 5 (ANI): In a significant operation, the Delhi Police Special Cell engaged in an encounter with two criminals in the Narela area on Saturday morning, following a tip-off about their presence.
The accused, identified as Mohit and Bhupit, were wanted in connection with the murder of Anil in Ritauli village, Rohtak, Haryana, on June 1, 2025.
The murder was orchestrated by notorious criminal Himanshu Bhau as an act of revenge.
According to the police, Special Cell Northern Range got information about these criminals being in Delhi, after which a trap was laid in the Narela area. The accused were asked to surrender, but they opened fire on the police party. After this, the police shot them in their legs. Both the criminals are in hospital, after which they will be questioned.
According to DCP Special Cell Amit Kaushik, the Northern Range team received intelligence that the suspects, along with possible associates, were in the Narela area.
"On 1st June 2025, one Anil was murdered in Ritauli village (in Rohtak, Haryana). Himanshu Bhau did this for revenge. Shooters and associates have been on the run since then. The Special Cell received information that two, or possibly more, accused individuals could be arriving in the Narela area. So, deployment was made accordingly late in the night," Kaushik stated.
Kaushik further revealed the criminal background of the accused, stating, "They have been identified as Mohit and Bhupit. They already have 6-7 cases registered against them in Haryana. These are desperate criminals. They also wanted to take personal revenge. Bhau had put forth a condition that first he would be helped in taking revenge, and then he would help them in their revenge."
The DCP elaborated on the gang's strategy, saying, "Basically, this was the gang's strategy to induct those two and expand their gang...Anil was an accused in a 2022 double murder where Himanshu Bhau's cousin was murdered. He was in jail in that connection. He had come out only some time back. He was on bail, during which he was murdered."
A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway to uncover additional details about the gang's operations and other potential associates. (ANI)
